HEALTH SERVICES EXECUTIVE BUILDING
Derchil Limited aided the management of the maintenance division in assessing a pilot building for retrofitting. Our remit was to analyse the building and offer solutions to allow the building provide a better living environment for occupants and be become more sustainable. We finalised the approach required and have recently completed phase 1.
ENERGY ACTION EXTERNAL INSULATION

- Energy Action, based in Nemarket in Dublin are one of the largest CBO's. After 20 years insulating homes for the less well off, they recently lunched a pilot scheme to Externally Insulate Houses.
- Derchil have completed numerous houses in the Dublin area and are looking forward to the presentation of Energy Action's findings at their conference in February.
SUSTAINABLE ENERGY AUTHORITY OF IRELAND
- The Warmer Homes Scheme 3 is a scheme operated and funded directly by the SEAI. It's aims are to upgrade the energy efficiency of privately owned houses who's owners are in receipt of fuel allowance.
- The scheme caters for works from draft proofing to external insulation and installation of full heating systems. We have completed projects in all areas of the country and are looking forward to completing more of these rewarding projects in 2011. It is anticipated that 8000 homes will have some degree of upgrade carried out in 2011 under this scheme.
TRINITY COLLEGE TEST HOUSE
Currently, in association with Trinity College Dublin, we are carrying out various retrofitting measures in a residential property. The study of effects that these measures have, will enable us to better understand how the building fabric reacts to different insulation measures in varying circumstances.
